Just say yes

When I was 19 years old, I started a salon business without any prior experience nor had I ever picked up the first pair of shears to cut hair. At 28, my husband and I purchased an 81 acre farm. I had never worked a day in my life on a farm. At 32, we started a transportation company, yet, I have never driven an 18 wheeler. I never felt scared to do any of these big things. By all accounts, I never appeared ready to take on these challenges but I did them anyway. What I lacked in experience or expertise, I made up for in determination. As humans, we tend to obsess over details, overanalyze and think we need a blueprint to follow. If something feels right, just say yes and figure out the rest later. Most people fail because they never get started. If you want anything big to happen in your life, you have to be willing to take chances. I don’t mean that you shouldn’t have a plan or do your research, but half the battle is just saying yes and taking messy action.
