When God closes a door
Yesterday, I followed my husband who was driving our dump truck back to my father in law's house. We drove by a farm that we had tried to purchase about 8 or 9 years ago. I can vividly remember meeting Farmer E at that property one day an him pulling up in a truck he drove for someone's company. Ultimately, another buyer's offer was accepted and we lost out on the property. We were crushed and questioned if this road we were on was meant to be. We felt like doors were being slammed in our faces at every direction.
As we drove by yesterday, tears started to fill my eyes when I thought about how subtle life can be. With plenty of persistence, hard work and a little luck we now own a beautiful farm to call our own and where we will soon be building our dream home. My husband no longer drives a truck for someone else and we now have our own trucking company. We are blessed to have one another and two sweet babies.
People will call you crazy for wanting to pursue your dreams. They will say it can't be done or that you shouldn't. They will tell you will fall flat on your face, which I guarantee you will along the way. You might not receive the first loan you apply for from the bank. Or that real estate deal you were waiting on might fall through.
But when God closes some doors, he just might be opening the window to something more perfect than you could ever imagine.
