What’s for dinner? Easy Lasagna Recipe

An easy lasagna is a staple in our house during the winter months, especially when things are busy around the farm and with the kids. Here is my tried and true recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef. We use beef grown on our farm, but whatever you use will work.

  • 1 16 oz. container of ricotta cheese

  • 1 32 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce

  • 1 box of Barilla lasagna no boil noodles

  • Grated parmesan and mozzarella cheese. I don’t measure cheese, I apply with love.

  • Salt, pepper, sugar and Italian seasoning to taste. The sugar helps to reduce the acidity of the spaghetti sauce.

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Add pasta sauce to the skillet with browned ground beef.

  • Combine the ricotta cheese, spaghetti sauce and some grated parmesan & mozzarella cheese in a box.

  • Layer the meat sauce and cheese mixture with lasagna noodles. Top with more grated cheese, salt, pepper, sugar and Italian seasoning.

  • Bake until browned and bubbly. I usually cook mine for approximately 45 to 50 minutes.

Enjoy with a salad and garlic bread!
